Getting to Know You

by Mary on November 9, 2009

Good morning my Internet loves!

Where HAVE I been? You were worried sick! Why didn’t I call? Etc. etc.

Yeah, not really. Sometimes I like to think I’m more important than I am. Spices up my Monday morning.

Anywhat. This post is going to be a riveting short update on All The Things That Are Going Well In My Life and Sucking Up My Internet Time and That’s Why You Miss Me.

There’s a boy and things are going swimmingly. We’re in that never make plans ahead of time but always seem to end up hanging out stage. It’s fabulous.

I got a new project at work, and it might finally be something that turns into “what I do here.” We had a setback at the end of last week, but it is very time consuming and it needs to get done quickly, so it is seriously eating into what would otherwise be “blog time.” Even so, I’m actually really excited about it and hoping it turns into a long-term thing (but, you know, less 8 hours of work a day).

It finally stopped raining! Which means kickball two nights a week. Extra kickball two nights a week because we have LOTS of catching up to do. And extra kickball means extra drinking and extra drinking means not enough sleep. Never enough sleep.

I am trying to continue to read and comment and post as much as I can, but it’s just one of those times in my life where there are a lot of other things on top of the priority list. But it’s not cause I love you guys any less, believe me! Things will slow down soon and we’ll get caught up ;).

On Saturday, we had a flag football tournament at our seminary, and seven other seminaries came for muddy football goodness. Afterwards, we had a party, where we played some epic flip cup, where I channeled your intensity for the game. It totally paid off :]

I would have said: “Where HAVE you been? I’ve been worried sick! Why didn’t you call? I MISS YOU!” But we talk every day and I love it. :) And I love cheese and wombats. And you. :)

YAY for a boy! Have we established his virgin status yet? I’m worried about this…

I actually DID wonder where you were. So if that helps make you feel more important, so be it. :)
